Welcome back Buccaneers! It's time for week 3 of our swashbuckling good time. This week we talk about books, you know, the ones written by other people. A writer's education is never over, we must always read. Fortunately, this critical task is pretty enjoyable. So let's talk about it...
July 23rd - What are the last three books you've read? Tell us a little bit about what's currently in your Kindle/Nook/on your bedside table.
July 25th - Give us your best of the best list. What are your top five favorite books of all time?
July 27th - Review a book! Good reviews are critical to authors, especially independent and mid-list authors. In fact, studies have shown that when consumers visit an Amazon page they rely on customer reviews more than any other factor to decide whether or not to purchase. So get in the habit of reviewing books you like. Pick a recent favorite and tell us what you think:
- Post your review on your blog
- Post your review on Amazon.com - if you wish, include a link so we can mark the review as helpful
- Post your review on Goodreads.com - if you wish, include a link so we can follow/friend you on Goodreads
P.S. Another nice benefit of being willing to write reviews is you can get free review copies! If you'd like free review copies of Curiosity Quills book go here. All of our other titles are also available for review, so ask me if there is something you'd like that you don't see on Net Galley. If you do review a CQ title, please let me know! I troll the web for these the best I can, but I don't want to miss your review.
