Buccaneer Blogfest Wrap-Up

Pirates Splashdown!

My wrap-up post is a little late I know, but life got in the way this weekend. I can't believe it's already been a month! But it's time to wrap-up the Buccaneer Blogfest.

The most important thing I've learned is that the blogfest is a powerful tool to connect with writers. I'm honored and amazed that so many people signed up and participated. Thank you so much for taking the time to be a part of the fest! Being a part of a supportive community of writers makes everything a little easier when you finally sign that contract. You've got ready made reviewers and stops for your blog tour. I work with published authors and it's always obvious who already has connections and who doesn't. And guess what? The ones who have been active bloggers market their book easily and well. And it pays off!

I've also learned that I'm too busy! I couldn't keep up with the posts in my own fest and didn't comment nearly as much as I wanted to. I'm sorry for that. Even though the blogfest is over, I plan to continue to check out your blogs.

My goals for my blog are to continue what has been working. More contests. More blogfests. I also want to host more interviews and giveaways, so if you need some promotion and would like to be featured here, let me know.

And now...congratulations are in order for the winners of the Curiosity Quills Giveaway! Check out the Rafflecopter form below to see if you won. I've decided to let each winner select the prize of their choice. If you won, please contact me (by email, contact me form, or comments) and tell me what prize you would like. And if your name is on there more than once, let me know what TWO prizes you would like.

I also have winners from the Treasure Hunt questions:

The winner of Automatic Woman is Cody Underwood.

The winner of One Ghost Per Serving is Gwen Gardner.

If you won, please contact me with your email if you think I don't already have it.

AND....

I owe you one more Treasure Hunt question, so you have one last chance to win some booty! For a free copy of Bone Wires by Michael Shean, answer this trivia question. In addition to free copies of Bone Wires, what else can you win in the Bone Wires giveaway? The link to the giveaway is here. A random commenter with the correct answer will win the free copy of Bone Wires!

  1. YaY Sharon!

I hope everything is okay and things are okay. I was worried after not hearing from you in a couple of days.

I think I would like the query and 10 page critique:)

Have a great week and rest when you can. New baby coming soon! Exciting:)

  2. *gasp* Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

The comment form was completely in the way here, but I've seen! Now what to choose? I'm so tempted to get one of those books. But I'll have to go for a ten page critique.

And you take it easy. New baby soon! Double squee!

  5. Now you need to finish up your edits and get that book published. Really, CQ wouldn't be the same without you. So thank you! I hope you and your family are doing well. <3

And for any of you who read Sharon's blog--and comments--my blog door is always open! :-)
